With the thyssenkrupp tube mills, you benefit from an improved material flow and easier access with a line handler, which positively affects the overall availability of the plant as less time needs to be spent on maintenance.

The shell-supported tube mill allows for a higher filling ratio. This increases the grinding energy applied to the ore, which enables a much more compact built (15-20% less building footprint than normal).

Two integral slide rings support the mill cylinder. The bearing assembly consists of four to six so-called white metal-coated sliding shoes each, allowing the cylinder to rotate. Hydraulic cylinders carry out the adjustment of the sliding shoes.

Thanks to the working principle of these cylinders, the load acts uniformly and radially, which, coupled with sufficient lubrication at the sides of the bearings for low friction, results in an almost maintenance-free operation.
